MONTANA DE ORO
So these photos aren't the best quality but hey, I guess it adds character, ha. I blame it on Walmart processing and a scratched film scanner (those little lines, ARG!). A little practice and a new scanner should do the trick. But nevertheless, it was a really great day. We wandered out to Montana de Oro for a bit, one of my favorite spots, and walked around until it got too chilly. I can't wait for that summer sun to start shining!
that hat. too great. the little lines are a nice effect though.
ReplyDeleteIf you ask me the imperfections add some charm to the photos. :) Your blog is adorable! xx
ReplyDeleteyes, those lines actually do look really great with the photos!
ReplyDeletestrange question, how often do you go out and take photographs like these?
i love reading your blog and it makes me want to go to america even more. x
I think these photos are great! Kind of look like film stills.
ReplyDeleteDahlia + Evie - thank you! it's from ASOS.
ReplyDeleteCynthia O. - well that's a positive way to look at it, thanks!
Shani - thanks! we go to the beach, take a walk or hike almost everyday, so we take photos whenever we have the camera in hand.
I honestly love film scratches - they do add character! You've always got some lovely tones in your photos as well :)

This reminds me of my early photos where I used to know worry so much about the scratches and embraced all the flaws. I quite like it. You can always get rid of them in photoshop but this is always more interesting.
ReplyDeleteI actually love the effect! And that photo of the ocean... oh hell yeah.
ReplyDeleteI love the little lines and the imperfections, they seem more personal! Gorgeous photos! x

I agree with others, the photos are lovely. But I know how you feel, examining your film results!
ReplyDeleteDid you buy a scanner? I have been thinking about doing this, any information or advice you have would be very welcome!
