so far summer has been pretty good. we've been doing our normal things we do everyday, such as going to the beach, drinking coffee, thrifting, picnics. yeah, we live a pretty hard life. we attempted to film a lookbook for my shop yesterday but we both got a little discouraged and so it may take a little bit longer... why can't all my blogger gals live here so I could have models!? I need MODELS! I always get so frustrated because I have so many ideas and I can't ever really execute them the way I would like due to lack of models, locations, props, and all that. sooooomeday, though... someday.
this is a little sailor dress that I bought at a vintage shop in portland ( animal traffic on mississippi. . . so cute) anyway, it was literally just sold two seconds ago, so yay for me. . . one more sale to 100!!!! I added a few things to the shop including a 70s fur wrap coat and a 70s denim dress.
wearing an ADORABLE 60s dress that darling vintage sent me. she has the best collection of vintage, so check out her shop.
Oh, the weather looks so beautiful! I'm envious! I love the vintage 60s dress - I'm off to have a look at Darling Vintage now! Be sure to enter my £100 ASOS voucher giveaway!

The picture with you and the book is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way about models. It was so much easier in high school because teenager girls love to dress up and be silly but no one has time anymore. Next time you come to Portland we should have a photoshoot! :)
hillary - i know! it's so frustrating. yes, yes! i am moving up there this year so we will definitely have to be photoshoot buddies :)
ReplyDeletei so wish we lived near to each other! i love that photo of you with the book, love that color of your dress. once you move to portland you will have more luck, what with hillary and anja being there, just to name a few ;)
ReplyDeleteAhh that sounds like such a nice summer! It's winter here so my life is very different to yours- lots of hot soup, snuggly layers and chilly nights spent indoors with hot drinks and dvds.
ReplyDeleteI know! I want to photograph people but beyond my little sister there's really no one! And I don't feel she's an appropriate to share much beyond facebook. At least when you start your photography course you may find some willing models :)
ReplyDeleteI am thinking if I have time/money after I graduate of going to california... DISNEYLAND!! Haha.
That sailor dress is seriously cute. Love your shots. x

I hope you get the video stuff all sorted out, I bet it will be wonderful! I would totally help you with modeling but I think the things you're selling would mostly be too small for me to fit into. There must be plenty of girls in town who would help model but it's probably hard to actually find them. Lovely photos as usual. The sailor dress is so cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. The sailor dress is very pretty :)
