CAMPFIRE COFFEE

Getting out of a cozy sleeping and into the crisp morning air means only one thing - heading straight to the fire to pour a cup of campfire coffee. There is something that makes campfire coffee better than most. It could be the fact that it's made in the cool morning air, in an antique pot, or that it is only served a few times a year (because drinking it without camping seems unfitting). It is fairly simple to make, too!

2 quarts water / 1 cup finely ground coffee / 2 tablespoons cold water

In an enamel safe pot, bring water to a rolling boil. Use a potholder and take the pot off the fire. Add coffee and steep for four minutes. Add two tablespoons of cold water to settle the grounds, then serve.
